Amalgamated Regional Trading Holdings Limited, through its subsidiaries, manufactures and distributes lead acid batteries, and paper and stationery products in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, and other African countries.

It operates through four segments: Paper, Batteries, Stationery, and Plantations. The company offers recycled tissue reels, tissue products, sanitary wear and diapers, hygiene products, writing instruments, kraft papers, automotive batteries, solar batteries and accessories, femcare products, and motive and standby batteries; and power back-up system, solar distribution and installation, battery recycling, and renewable energy solutions.

It is also involved in the provision of pens, markers, rulers, and books; management of timber estates for production of timber products; and timber plantation activities.

In addition, the company retails batteries, paper, and stationery products; and collects wastepaper used in the production of tissue paper.

It provides its products primarily under the Exide, Eversharp, Softex, Wish, Nurse, Snip, and Chloride brands.

The company was formerly known as Beachmont Trading Limited and changed its name to Amalgamated Regional Trading Holdings Limited in 2001.
